Jennifer Funnell is an artist and a visual arts teacher. She holds a BFA from Kendall College of Art and Design (Grand Rapids, MI) and an MA in Art and Design from the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley, CO). Jennifer began her career as an art teacher in 2009. Since then she has taught public school visual arts including courses in drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, art appreciation and photography. Jennifer was name teacher of the year at Grandview High School in 2024. In addition to teaching high school, Jennifer teaches adults online through Grouper (HelloGrouper.com). Her courses include urban sketching, observational drawing, watercolor, gouache painting, acrylic painting and art appreciation. Jennifer enjoys practicing her own art making. While painting is a favorite, she loves exploring with all media. Jennifer also enjoys spending time with her family, friends and two pet rabbits.
